It had been almost six years since the Baltimore Ravens last had a Special Teams Player of the Week in the AFC. That is, until now. Today, the NFL named Ravens’ kicker, Justin Tucker the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts in the team’s 20-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Tucker made just two field goals on the day, connecting on a 36-yarder in the first quarter. However, it was his timing on his second kick that vaulted him to this mention. Tucker’s 46-yarder in overtime was the game winner over the AFC North’s leader. The game brought the Bengals back to the pack and kept the seasons “alive” for both Baltimore and even Pittsburgh.
