Chris Johnson has huge day in finale

The Tennessee Titans completed 2013 with a 7-9 record, finishing second in the AFC South. The year may not have ended the way the organization wanted it to, but the Titans did win their season finale, defeating the Texans 16-10. As is the tradition, cover32 hands out a game ball every week and Week 17 is no different.

In what may prove to be his final game as a Titan, Chris Johnson looked more like the back who rushed for 2,000 yards than the Johnson we saw the last couple.

In the six point win over Houston, Johnson rushed for 127 yards on 27 carries and a touchdown. In a season where Johnson averaged only 3.9 yards per carry, his 4.7 yards per carry average yesterday was a vast improvement on what he put out this season. Johnson also caught three balls for an additional 14 yards and a huge third down conversion late in a six point game.

Despite the mass impression that Johnson struggled, he finished third in rushing in the AFC, behind only Jamaal Charles and Ryan Mathews.

For his performance yesterday, cover32 gives Chris Johnson the Week 17 game ball.
