Charles Barkley has thoughts on the Lions

Charles Barkley had a Hall of Fame NBA career. Since he retired from the game of basketball, he has been equally great on commenting on not only basketball, but golf, gambling and sports of all kinds. This week, Barkley turned his attention to underperforming NFL teams. The Detroit Lions were in his cross-hairs, first.

“The Detroit Lions would be the perfect example of a team that’s got a bunch of talent that don’t have no clue, any clue, how to play football,” Barkley told the NFL Network.

Like many retired athletes, Barkley cares deeply about the plight of professional sports.

“When I watch that Detroit Lions team play, I’m like ‘Wow, man they got a lot of talent, but they have no idea how to play football,” Barkley continued. “And it’s frustrating to watch because I’m a fan. I’m a fan. I want to see greatness. Anytime I watch sports I want to see greatness.”
