The Tennessee Titans have a coaching vacancy now that they have fired Mike Munchak. Why Munchak was fired is being heavily discussed in NFL circles, leading to speculation that the organization let him go because he wouldn’t fire some of his assistants.
Regardless of why Munchak is out, rumors have begun circulation as to who the top candidates are to replace him in Tennessee. The two names with the most mentions seem to be the two coordinators out of Cincinnati, Jay Gruden and Mike Zimmer. Paul Kuharsky reports both have drawn interest from the Titans.

There looks to be competition for Gruden’s services, with as many as four teams interested in interviewing the younger brother of ESPN color-man John Gruden.

It will be interesting to see which direction the Titans go with this hire. While the defense was the better of the two main units this season, it cannot be forgotten that quarterback Jack Locker missed a majority of the season with multiple injuries.
