Joique Bell takes home big award

The Detroit Lions had one of the most impressive two-headed running games in the entire NFL. Everyone was already familiar with Reggie Bush, but the name, Joique Bell became one the most had to familiarize themselves with. From no-name D-II back to multiple practice squads to a regular in the Detroit backfield, Bell has earned his most recent distinction.

Today, the organization awarded him with the Chuck Hughes Most Improved Player for the 2013 season.

Bell did see some limited time during the 2012 campaign but became a fantasy household name with his production this season. The back from little known Wayne State finished the season with 650 yards rushing and eight touchdowns to go with 53 catches and 547 yards. In fact, Bush and Bell became the first running back duo in league history to each have over 500 yards rushing and receiving.
