During this past season’s training camp, I imagined what Hard Knocks would be like if it featured the St. Louis Rams.
Now, we might actually see that imagined scenario turn into reality.
The Turf Show Times posted an article today about the Rams possibly appearing on Hard Knocks before the 2014 season.
Although the Rams almost certainly wouldn’t volunteer to appear on HBO’s hit reality show, the NFL might “appoint” (read: force) one of their 32 teams to appear on the show if no team volunteers to be featured. As pointed out in that article, the criteria are as follows:
- The team doesn’t have a new head coach.
- Hasn’t made the playoffs in the last two seasons.
- Hasn’t been on Hard Knocks in the last 10 years.
The Rams are one of eight teams that qualify for this distinction. Here’s a sampling of the reaction so far on Twitter.

“@Total_Rams_Move: The Rams have a chance to be on HBO's Hard Knocks this year. What do you think about that Rams fans?”we should get it

As you can see, reaction on Twitter is a bit mixed so far, but the Turf Show Times poll at the bottom of the article shows voters in favor of the team appearing on Hard Knocks at a ratio of more than two to one. What are your thoughts?
We fantasized about Sammy Watkins in a Rams uniform yesterday. What do you think?
