Long-time Bills punter Brian Moorman signs contract extension

According to Jeff Russo of WKBW Buffalo, 12-year Bills punter Brian Moorman will not be leaving New York during the 2014 free agency period.

Bills General Manager Doug Whaley confirmed at Friday’s press conference the veteran punter has signed to another contract agreement. Details of the contract have not yet been released, however, Moorman made it clear it didn’t want to play anywhere else.

“Just being able to continue my career here and eventually finish my career here that’s been my goal all along to finish a Buffalo Bill and I’m thrilled to be here,” Moorman told buffalobills.com.

Throughout Moorman’s long career with the Bills he has racked up 979 punts, averaging 43.8 yards per punt with 28.7-percent landing within the 20.
