Corey Wootton undergoes hip surgery


Bears defensive lineman Corey Wooton underwent surgery today to repair a hip labrum and a decompression of a terminal femoroacetabular impingement.

Wootton had a down year after coming off a 2012 season with seven sacks. He was forced to play defensive tackle for most of 2013 due to the in surmounting injuries on the defensive line.

Wootton is expected to make a full recovery. He is an unrestricted free agent.
