- Will Beatty: The Giants’ greatest disappointment
- Giants might be considering long term in search for new offensive coordinator
Giants feature no one in PFWA All-NFC and NFL teams
The Pro Football Writers of America released their selection for the All-AFC, All-NFC and All-NFL teams. Not a single Giants player could be found on the list—no, not even safety Antrel Rolle.
Rolle voiced his displeasure with being left off the NFC Pro Bowl roster a few week ago. He did gain some redemption, however, as he was placed on the more-recognized NFL All-Pro second team by the Associated Press.
Linval Joseph expecting a big payday
The defensive tackle has started 46 of his 48 games played, doing so in impressive fashion as one of the league’s better run stoppers. He was a key cog in the middle for the G-Men this season, where he helped to shut down some of the NFL’s best running backs, including LeSean McCoy, Jamaal Charles, Adrian Peterson and Alfred Morris.
At 25 years of age, Joseph has much to offer prospective teams with room still available to improve. The Giants’ defensive tackle rotation was pivotal to their defensive success throughout the season and it will be vital to do all they can to ensure Joseph remains in New York. Other teams, however, may have the cap space to secure Joseph while the Giants have much to improve across their roster and may lack the money to spend to keep him.
