As Grantland’s Bill Barnwell pointed out the other day, we could’ve saved you readers a whole lot of time this past season analyzing upsets and other weekly fluctuations among various team’s performances during the 2013 season.
That’s because the final four teams remaining in the playoffs have been the four best teams in the NFL all season – no sneaky darkhorses like the 2012 Ravens, 2011 Giants or 2008 Cardinals. Additionally, these final four teams – the 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos and Patriots – were all considered preseason favorites to make the playoffs.
Of course, I don’t need to tell you this because you’re probably a Rams fan, which means you’re well-aware of how good the Seahawks and 49ers are. The Rams went 0-4 against these two elite NFC West opponents and got outscored by an average of two touchdowns in those games.
Which brings us to our subject of Twitter Tuesday. I’ll let our friends at Turf Show Times take it away.
