Packers’ Lacy is off to Hawaii

Green Bay Packers rookie running back Eddie Lacy enjoyed a phenomenal rookie season. The awards have already begun pilling up after a season in which he finished with 1,178 yards and 11 touchdowns. A season, in which the Packers suddenly found balance on offense with a productive running game. Today, the love continued as it appears that Lacy will need to pack his grass skirt and loud Hawaiian shirts for a trip next week.

Lacy gets the nod after Minnesota Vikings’ Adrian Peterson pulled out to rest up for the upcoming 2014 season. The rookie out of the University of Alabama has been not only a treat on-the-field, but is a humble, focused player off, as well.

This could be the first of many wintertime trips to the islands for #27.
