Five best defensive performances in the AFC South

It’s that time of the year when everybody and their mother hands out awards for performances in the NFL. We at will join the circus as we use this week’s Top-5, to rank the five best players in the AFC South. The honor doesn’t come with money, fame, a new car or even a trophy, but the glory will last forever.

Presented without further comment, the five best defensive performances in the AFC South this season.

5. Paul Posluszny, Jacksonville Jaguars – LB

Posluszny still doesn’t get the credit he deserves as an elite linebacker in the NFL. It doesn’t help that he has played in two small markets, Buffalo and Jacksonville. Posluszny finished the 2013 season with an impressive stat line: 161 total tackles, three sacks, two interceptions and a touchdown. The touchdown may have been his best, most memorable moment of the season, picking-off Peyton Manning and returning it down the sideline for the score.

You don’t have to be a Jaguars fan to appreciate the hard-nosed way Posluszny gets it done.
