Fitzgerald says “Aloha” to Pro Bowl

Arizona wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald was announced as a Pro Bowl replacement yesterday as he will take the spot of Denver’s Demaryius Thomas in the game. Thomas and the Broncos advanced to the Super Bowl opposite the Seattle Seahawks. While Fitzgerald will take the spot, it still leaves Washington wide receiver Pierre Garcon out in the cold. Let’s compare their stats.

A league-leading 113 receptions with 1346 yards and five touchdowns for Garcon.

There were 80 receptions 954 yards and 10 touchdowns for Fitzgerald.

Even Vincent Jackson of Tampa had a good case too with 78 catches for 1224 yards and seven touchdowns with a rookie quarterback, or Josh Freeman, under center.

Apparently the Pro Bowl is touchdown-only game. The Pro Bowl draft is Wednesday night at 6pm so we’ll see where Fitzgerald lands.
