Titans get little love in “way too early” 2014 power rankings


Only one game and two teams remain. For everyone else, the calendar (both in real terms and in the football world) has turned to 2014. Next season is now this season for 30 NFL franchises.

Thus, it’s time to start assessing where everyone stacks up heading into next year. Who will bounce back? Who will fall off? Who has made good hires? And who has made bad fires?

The regular season ended just three weeks ago, but the shape of the NFL landscape has already changed. Here’s how the cover32 editors see it shaping up as 2014 dawns:

24. Tennessee Titans – Another unimpressive year led to the firing of Mike Munchak and the hiring of Ken Whisenhunt, who had success in Arizona with Kurt Warner at quarterback. That means Jake Locker will need to step up and lead this team if they are to make a playoff run in 2014.
