Panthers and Rivera agree on contract extension

The Carolina Panthers have announced that they have signed head coach Ron Rivera to a contract extension.

River agreed to the three year extension, a contract that was well deserved after the season his Panthers produced. After a very slow start, the Panthers rallied, winning the NFC South and earning a first-round bye and home playoff game.

The Panthers lost in their divisional playoff home game to the San Francisco 49ers. There are many off-season questions to be answered, but the Panthers have no question at the head coach spot.
