Latest Miami Dolphins news: Dolphins part ways with Gaine and more

Despite being Super Bowl there has been no shortage of Dolphins news.

– The Dolphins parted ways with assistant general manager Brian Gaine.

“I want to thank Brian for his contributions to the Miami Dolphins,” said Hickey. “We both agreed that this decision was in everyone’s best interests going forward. This will allow Brian to move forward in his professional pursuits and the Dolphins to move forward with our 2014 plan. I want to wish Brian the very best in the future.”

– The level of class with Gaine’s parting is certainly questionable. Miami Herlad’s Adam Beasley reports Gaine found out that he didn’t get the job from media accounts. Gaine was also escorted out the building. (UPDATE) Beasley later retracted this report saying Dolphins also say that they reached out to Gaine before the story broke on Monday.
