Eddie Lacy honored yet again

It has been a busy and productive rookie year for the Packers newest offensive weapon. Eddie Lacy took home multiple fedex ground player of the week awards as well as AP offensive player of the week. But he did something no Packer has ever been able to as well, and we just found out today.

Eddie Lacy has become the first Packer ever to win the Associated Press NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. With 35 votes Lacy beat San Diego Rookie Keenan Allen (12) to take home the award at Saturday’s NFL Honors ceremony.

Lacy finished the season eighth in the NFL in rushing yards with 1,187 and third in rushing touchdowns with 11. The way we watched Lacy run this season, battling ankle injuries the final few weeks, it’s no wonder he takes home this award. It’s also safe to say that Lacy has a bright future running the rock for the Packers.
