Not many players are fortunate enough to play their entire careers with one franchise. The Buffalo Bills have four Hall of Fame players who played with the team during the Super Bowl run in the early 1990’s, only Jim Kelly spent his entire NFL career with the Bills. Thurman Thomas played for the Miami Dolphins, Andre Reed and Bruce Smith both spent time with the Washington Redskins after leaving Buffalo. There are a few former Bills players scattered around the NFL playing for other teams. The top five former Bills players currently playing in the National Football League.
Honorable Mention: Joique Bell. (2010)
The Bills signed Bell as an undrafted rookie out of Wayne State in 2010. Bell never played a game for the Bills and bounced around the league for while before finally carving a niche with the Detroit Lions in 2012. During the 2013 season Bell rushed for 650 yards and 8 touchdowns while adding 547 yards on 53 receptions.
5.) Donte Whitner. (2006-2010)
After five productive yet unspectacular seasons playing for the Bills, Whitner bolted Buffalo to play for the San Francisco 49ers. Whitner was solid while playing for the Bills but was never quite the play maker and game changer the Bills expected him to become when they drafted him in the first round. Whitner has seemed to come into his own while playing for the 49ers and has been selected to the Pro Bowl in two of his three seasons playing for San Francisco.
4.) Andy Levitre (2009-2012)
Drafted in the second round of the 2009 draft, Levitre spent the first four years of his career developing in to one of the best all around lineman in football. Levitre left Buffalo to play for the Tennessee Titans in the summer of 2013 and helped lead a unit that ranked ninth in the NFL in sacks allowed and seventh in rushing touchdowns. Despite being one of the best players at his position Levitre has never made the Pro Bowl.
