Could any of the top RBs in the draft help the Detroit Lions?

When people evaluate the Detroit Lions roster, few would consider running back to be a position of “need.” After all, the team got very good production last season from both Reggie Bush and Joique Bell.

The duo combined for more than 1,600 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground, while also hauling in more than 100 combined passes for more than 1,000 total receiving yards. In other words, the Lions are in good hands with Bush and Bell.

But that’s not to say they could use depth. In the NFL, a team is only an injury or two away from suddenly being weak in an area that use to be a strength.

So if the Lions decide to go win running back in the draft, which shouldn’t happen until day two or three, there are plenty of good options out there. A player like Lache Seastrunk from Baylor would be a perfect fit, bringing another combination of rushing and receiving skills to the Motor City.
