Who are the NFL’s top free agent quarterbacks?

The San Francisco 49ers are fond of asking who’s got it better than them. Well, when it comes to quarterbacks, there are a few teams that immediately come to mind. Two of them played in the Super bowl last weekend and one of them won it all.

Russell Wilson is the complete package: he’s talented, has rock-solid character, and is tremendously underpriced. The Seahawks and their fans could not possibly be luckier to have him behind center. However, as we witnessed on more than one occasion this past season, anything can happen and having a quality backup quarterback can make all the difference between a playoff berth and an ignominious early end to the season.

When Jay Cutler went down with a strained sourpuss face, Josh Mccown stepped in and lit up the league. When Michael Vick was bitten by karma, Nick Foles strolled in and threw 20 touchdowns with zero picks to boot in no time at all.

The moral of the story is you can never have too much talent at the most important position in football. With that in mind, here is a list of the top ten free agent quarterbacks in the NFL.

Dumb tweets: some people believe the Super bowl was fixed.
