Bears sign DE Austin Lane

The Chicago Bears signed free agent defensive end Austin Lane on Monday.

Lane appeared in two games for the Detroit Lions last season. He was released before the start of free agency allowing him to sign elsewhere.

Defensive Coordinator Mel Tucker coached Lane for three seasons (2010-2012) where he had 66 tackles and three sacks in 30 games for the Jacksonville Jaguars. Lane was drafted by the Jaguars in the fifth-round back in 2010.
