Scouting the best wide receiver prospects for the St. Louis Rams

If you visit our corner of the Internet often, you know that we’ve spent a significant amount of time this offseason speculating about the Rams’ plan to address the wide receiver position.

I wrote a piece back in early January about Sammy Watkins as a Ram, then our own Ted Bryant followed that up recently with his “obscenely early projection” for the Rams offense in which he awarded a slot to Watkins, whom he believes the Rams will draft with the second overall pick to place alongside Tavon Austin and Austin Pettis.

Our cover32 editors have compiled a list of the 10 best wide receiver prospects in this year’s draft, and you probably won’t be surprised to find out Watkins is ranked no. 1. However go ahead and give the list a thorough read. After yet another season of disappointing production from Rams wide receivers, the Rams seem pretty likely to draft a wide receiver this May.

So make sure you get to know all these guys just in case they don the blue and gold next season.
