Fortunately for San Diego, one position the Chargers do not need any help at is tight end. Not only is America’s Finest City home to one of the all-time greats in Antonio Gates, but heir apparent, Ladarius Green, looks like the next big thing at the position. Built in a similar fashion to the likes of Jimmy Graham and Julius Thomas, the 6’6” 240 pound Louisiana-Lafayette product began to show flashes of brilliance late in 2013. Antonio Gates contract situation gets interesting after 2014, but for the near future, the Bolts may have the best duo in the league. With John Phillips and Jake Byrne on the roster, don’t expect the Bolts to spend a lot of money on any of these players, but when Antonio Gates time has ended, San Diego will need to again create depth behind Green.
