Marshawn Lynch takes a knee, pleads down on DUI case

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has decided to plea to reckless driving rather than contest a DUI charge stemming from an incident two years ago. Although Lynch felt he might win in court, he ultimately decided it would be a better idea to get the case off his back.

ESPN’s Seahawks reporter Terry Blount has the full story:

Probably a good decision by Beast Mode. Lynch may yet face punishment from the league and does not want to jeopardize his endorsements, which include Vita Coco and Skittles.

As Blount mentioned, Lynch is enormously popular in the Seattle area, but he has faced some criticism for his behavior at the Super bowl parade, where he jacked a bottle of Fireball Whiskey from a fan in the crowd.
