“It is not enough to succeed. Others must fail.” -Gore Vidal
The Seattle Seahawks are Super bowl champions. They’ve climbed to the top of the mountain and proven all the naysayers wrong. This means that as fans we can rise above and not point and laugh at our competitors as they stumble, right?
Several stories have emerged lately that San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh is on the outs with management. Apparently the team recently discussed trading him to the Cleveland Browns in exchange for draft picks despite having made it to the NFC Championship three years running.
Now, according to Pro Football Talk things have degenerated to much that if and when Harbaugh decides to leave, the team won’t try to stop him:
“We first developed a clear sense that the Niners wouldn’t compel Harbaugh to stick around after his name emerged as a candidate for the University of Texas job last season. If Harbaugh had wanted to leave for Austin, the 49ers would have wished him well.”
At issue is Harbaugh’s personality clashing with others in the niners’ front office. Who would have guessed that Harbaugh is a jerk off the field too?
