New York Giants to play Buffalo Bills in annual Hall of Fame Game

The New York Giants will meet the Buffalo Bills in the annual Hall of Fame Game on August 3 to kickoff the preseason schedule, the Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Thursday via Twitter.

The game will air at 8 p.m. ET from Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio on NBC. The appearance will be the Giants’ fifth in the Hall of Fame Game since its inception in 1962 (which the Giants also played in). It will be the Bills’ fourth appearance.

Both teams have former players set to be enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame this summer. Michael Strahan played defensive end for 15 years with the Giants and receiver Andre Reed spent 15 of his 16 pro seasons with the Bills.

Due to the extra preseason game, the Giants will now report to training camp on July 19—the earliest possible report date per NFL rules.
