Reaction: Bernard Pollard makes free agency decision

Bernard Pollard announced via Twitter Monday that he had re-signed with the Tennessee Titans after a solid 2013 campaign.

For Tennessee, that’s a fantastic acquisition heading into free agency.

Gone are the years of Keith Bulluck and Jevon Kearse leading the Titans defense. Along with their respective departures was Tennessee’s defensive identity.

When Pollard signed with the Titans before the 2013 season, he brought a reputation as a hard hitter who could bring the pain along with an intensity on the field unmatched by most offensive players.

He was a defensive leader with a unity clearly lacking one. Now, he’ll bring his talent back to the field, along with Jason McCourty for a stellar secondary.

Left is Alterraun Verner and whoever the Titans decide on at linebacker.

Stay tuned.
