Could the Rams consider targeting a top free agent linebacker?

The Rams finally have shored up the outside linebacker position, which they had long neglected, by drafting Alec Ogletree in the first round last season.

Ogletree improved as the season progressed and made enough big plays (six forced fumbles and a 98-yard interception return for a touchdown) to justify his sometimes lackluster pass coverage and occasional missed tackles.

However, the Rams could still use an extra outside linebacker, as Jo-Lonn Dunbar took a step back last season after serving a four-game PED-related suspension. The Rams have little depth otherwise outside of Ray-Ray Armstrong.

Therefore, the team might consider signing one of these top 10 free agent linebackers. I wouldn’t bet on it, but you never know.

I think it would be very wise for them to grab Khalil Mack with the 2nd pick or the 4th pick if they trade down. It would be a value pick and give us one of the best linebacking corps in the game. But that situation would probably be predicated on signing either Saffold or an offensive lineman in free agency. With the 13th pick I would grab Mike Evans and then use the rest of the draft to find a safety and offensive guard. In total that would address our pressing needs with some really good players(Mack and Evans ) at the top.
