Packers need to look to add depth at linebacker


This past season the Packers were forced to face the unfortunate fact that they’re linebacking corps was stretched unbelievably thin. Thanks to injuries in what seemed like every single week the Packers found themselves without Clay Matthews for multiple weeks, Andy Mulumba missed time, Francois had a season ending injury, and the list goes on and on. So, one would think the Packers could use more depth at the position. I think you’d be right. While I think that the best way to build that depth, especially in this draft class, is via the draft, the Packers may choose to take a look at some of these top free agent linebackers.     Realistically the Packers D needs so much help that this draft can possibly help but in no way does it make it that much better. The Packers are going to find this year, eye awakening as the Vikes deep in talent find a QB, the Lions get coached up to their potential and the Bears sew up a couple needs on defense. Packers in the basement this year and next. Can’t fix three years of bad drafting in one year. Lacy had a good year but he was available for a reason and its lack of speed.
