The Indianapolis Colts have struck a four year deal with former Cleveland Browns linebacker D’Qwell Jackson.
Jackson was 7th in the league last year in total tackles with 141. He has played his first seven seasons with the Browns after being drafted in the second round from Maryland. He will provide an instant boost to the defense and help replace Pat Angerer.
Colts GM Ryan Grigson had this to say on the signing “He is a team-first guy that has been a very consistent producer on the field. The tempo, energy and determination he plays with are right up there with the best in this league. He brings a welcomed element of experience and natural leadership to our team and we are excited to add him to the strong nucleus of linebackers we currently have on our roster.”
