With NFL Free Agency beginning tomorrow, here is one last look at the Oakland Raiders before the madness begins.
The Raiders are coming off of back to back 4-12 seasons under new general manager Reggie McKenzie and head coach Dennis Allen. A big part of the reason behind the two bad years is that McKenzie tore things down in order to fix a terrible cap situation.
Now that the Raiders have the most cap space of any team in the NFL, they are past the point of deconstruction and are ready to start rebuilding. Step one in that process begins with free agency. Despite having a ton of guys ready to hit free agency, the Raiders have only re-signed offensive tackle Khalif Barnes and tendered six exclusive rights free agents. (They also extended Taiwan Jones, but he was not set to be a free agent this off season.)
So with that in mind, let’s take a look at each side of the ball and see what the key needs will be heading into free agency.
