Will the Kansas City Chiefs draft one of the top 10 offensive tackles?

The cover32 team ranked their top 10 offensive tackles in the 2014 NFL Draft.

That begs the question: will the Chiefs be in the market for an offensive tackle this offseason?

Branden Albert will almost assuredly walk in free agency – he has been rumored to be connected with the Miami Dolphins over the weekend. The other offensive tackles that received playing time for the Chiefs last year are the 2013 number one overall pick, Eric Fisher, and former Chiefs’ third round pick, Donald Stephenson.

From the outside looking in, it appears that Stephenson and Fisher will be the Chiefs’ starting offensive tackles going into the 2014 season. The only question that remains is which player will play on which side. My early guess is that Stephenson will start out on the left side with Fisher on the right.

With their two starting tackles already under contract, it would come as a surprise if the Chiefs take an offensive tackle with either of their picks in the top three rounds.

With that said, the Chiefs are lacking depth along the offensive line, specifically at offensive tackle, so it would make some sense if the Chiefs take an offensive tackle late in the draft.
