Breaking: Indianapolis Colts lose veteran leadership in the secondary

Free agency began today at 4:00 PM eastern time, and the Indianapolis Colts wasted no time in signing former Baltimore Raven Arthur Jones.

While that deal was made the Colts let long time safety Antoine Bethea test the free agent market. In less than 30 minutes Bethea had a new deal with a new team.

The San Francisco 49ers signed Bethea for 4 years at $26 million. Way out of the price range the Colts were willing to pay for the 29 year old.

The Colts will now need to find a proven safety to replace him, and possibly Vontae Davis who could be headed to the New York Jets.

Bethea showed some love to the city and fans after the deal was announced.
