The Denver Broncos are on fire!
After signing T.J. Ward to start at safety, John Elway’s front office has signed No. 1 cornerback Aqib Talib, formerly of the New England Patriots, per Adam Schefter.
Filed to ESPN: Denver has reached agreement on a 6-year, $57M deal that includes $26M gtd with former Patriots CB Aqib Talib, per sources.

Six years for $57 million!? That’s a long deal for a ton of money, but well worth it as Talib is a true shut-down cornerback.
It was then confirmed by the Denver Broncos themselves via Twitter:
The #Broncos have agreed to terms with UFA CB Aqib Talib on a six-year contract.

Remember how well he played against Demaryius Thomas in the AFC Championship Game? Before Wes Welker took him out on that “rub” play, Talib was tremendous on defense.
Talib enjoyed picking off four passes and forcing a fumble in 2013, totaling 41 tackles in 13 games with New England.
What this means for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is he will no longer be with the Broncos in all probability though they did sign T.J. Ward as a safety.
