Tennessee Titans reportedly chasing top linebacker in free agency

Karlos Dansby, the No. 3 free agent here in cover32’s top 10 linebackers this summer, is on the radar of the Tennessee Titans according to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday on NFL Network’s “NFL Total Access” that the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans are in the running for Dansby, in addition to the Cardinals.

Dansby had 122 tackles last season with 6.5 sacks and four interceptions. After D’Qwell Jackson notched a four-year, $22 million deal, Dansby will command a similar price tag despite being two years older.

Dansby played for new Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt from 2007-2009.

We’ll see what happens when free agency officially kicks off at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
