Arizona Cardinals Day 2 Free Agency Recap

Day two of free agency is in the books; here’s your afternoon update on the Arizona Cardinals:

– Arizona re-signed linebacker Matt Shaughnessy to a two-year deal, according to the team’s website.

– Arizona re-signed linebacker Marcus Benard to a one-year deal to add depth at the position.

-Arizona signed former Pittsburgh running back Jonathan Dwyer to a one-year contract to provide another option in the backfield. In his four seasons with the Steelers, Dwyer rolled up 971 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns. It will be interesting to see how the backfield plays out with Dwyer’s addition.

– Arizona missed out on Darelle Revis as he signed with New England. DeMarcus Ware chose Denver.

– The Cardinals will be bringing in more offensive linemen for visits, according to head coach Bruce Arians. The team signed guard/center Ted Larsen to a two-year deal. Larsen was with Tampa for four seasons before signing with Arizona. There’s no indication who else might be coming in for a visit but additional help on the line is always appreciated.
