BREAKING: Kansas City Chiefs sign veteran offensive guard

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed veteran offensive guard Jeff Linkenbach, according to his agent.

Linkenbach made the Colts roster as an undrafted free agent in 2010 and has spent the last three seasons in Indianapolis. Linkenbach has started 33 total games in his four seasons for the Colts, including five in 2013.

Linkenbach appears to be a depth signing for the Chiefs. I wouldn’t be surprised if he and 3rd-year offensive guard Rishaw Johnson battle it out for the starting right guard position that was left open by the departures of Geoff Schwartz and Jon Asamoah.
