Day two of free agency is all but over; here’s your nightly update on the Baltimore Ravens:
– There was some fear out there that the Ravens may lose Jacoby Jones. In fact, right before he signed his new four-year deal worth $14 million, it was reported that Jones was visiting the New York Giants. Must have been just a quick visit to take in the sights.
– Seems like for every gain there is a loss. After the news broke about Jacoby Jones, it was reported that cornerback Corey Graham signed with the Buffalo Bills. Graham was looking for more of a starting role and felt that he deserved that opportunity. With Lardarius Webb and Jimmy Smith ahead of him on the depth chart in Baltimore it seemed like going to another team would be his only chance.
– Just because Jacoby Jones was signed today doesn’t mean the search for more help at the wide receiver position is over. Eric Decker is no longer available (and trust me, we didn’t want him) but there are still some interesting pieces out there such as Steve Smith and maybe even Emmanuel Sanders of the Steelers.
