Pittsburgh Steelers free agency recap—3/12/14


The Pittsburgh Steelers made several big splashes yesterday as the NFL opened up its free agency at 4 p.m. EST Tuesday. It started with the release of veteran linebacker LaMarr Woodley:

Then the Steelers signed former Panthers free safety Mike Mitchell marking the end of FS Ryan Clark’s tenure with the team:


Mitchell will bring some speed and range to a secondary which already includes the roaming Troy Polamalu. And I believe we can all agree with this sentiment:

Mitchell recorded 52 tackles and four interceptions last season in Carolina.
