Tennessee Titans free agency Day 3 preview: Who’s coming to town?


So far, the Tennessee Titans have inked Dexter McCluster, Leon Washington and Al Woods. They’ve released David Stewart and have serious interest in some of the top defensive players who are still available.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports the following:

  • Former Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Jason Hatcher.

41 tackles, 11.0 sacks, two forced fumbles.

  • Former Houston Texans defensive lineman Antonio Smith.

30 tackles, 5.0 sacks and one forced fumble.

  • Former Denver Broncos linebacker Wesley Woodyard.

84 tackles, 1.5 sacks, three forced fumbles.

  • Former San Diego Chargers quarterback Charlie Whitehurst.

Completed 54 percent of his passes over his career for three touchdowns and four interceptions. If signed, Tennessee would likely cut Ryan Fitzpatrick, saving $3.25 million in cap space.

  • Former Oakland Raiders defensive tackle Pat Sims

54 tackles, 2.0 sacks.

Scheduled for Friday

  • ESPN’s Josina Anderson notes former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley will visit the Titans if he doesn’t sign with the Oakland Raiders today.

36 tackles, 5.0 sacks, one forced fumble.

Scheduled for Monday

  • Former Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Akeem Jordan.

68 tackles, two forced fumbles.

35 tackles, 10.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, one interception.
