The backup quarterback carousel is officially spinning in the NFL, and the Tennessee Titans are now on board.

That signing led to this common sentiment.

But, hold the phone, that might not end up being the case.

We’ll see how it all shakes out and who ends up backing up Jake Locker, but for now the Titans obviously saw something in Whitehurst they liked. The 31-year old, career back-up QB, was with San Diego the last two years, but didn’t attempt a single pass. He last saw action with the Seahawks in 2011, completing 27 of 56 passes over the course of three games with a touchdown and an interception.
