Offensive tackle is the most scrutinized position on the offensive line. Typically, tackles have to be the biggest men on the line yet are also expected to block the opposing teams most athletic pass rushers. In today’s era a lot more is expected of tackles – not only are they expected to be outstanding pass blockers, but rushing attacks now run off-tackle much more than they use to. So, these pass blocking extraordinaires are expected to be lead run blockers as well. The modern era has given the Packers very little in terms of long-term solutions at the position (although David Bakhtiari and Bryan Bulaga seem like potentially promising stallwarts) so this list was difficult to assemble. That being said, I think we found the five best all-around tackles in Packers history.
