Bears watch Julius Peppers go to a rival

The Green Bay Packers have signed former Bears defensive end Julius Peppers.

Peppers’ deal is three-years for $30 million max. He will get $7.5 million guaranteed. Peppers was released by the Bears earlier this week after playing four seasons in Chicago. Before that Peppers spent the first eight years of his career in Carolina.

Peppers is an eight-time Pro Bowl player with 119 career sacks.
