Breaking News: Carolina Panthers sign a Pro Bowl safety

So far, free agency has been very rough to the Carolina Panthers. Carolina has already lost almost its entire receiving corps, its best offensive lineman, and half of the starting secondary. However, finally some reinforcements are being brought in to stop the bleeding.

The Panthers have signed former Saints safety Roman Harper to a two-year contract according to the Charlotte Observer. The 31-year old Harper has made two Pro Bowls in his eight NFL seasons but only started in five games last year due to injury. Harper should come in and immediately fill one of the starting safety spots.
