Falcons sign rival to an offer sheet

In a surprise move, The Atlanta Falcons have signed Rafael Bush of the New Orleans Saints to a $1.4 million tender yesterday. The defensive back has always shown that he has the flexibility to play in multiple roles, and that is why Mike Nolan is attempting to bring him aboard. The New Orleans Saints will have until April 8 to match the offer or Bush will become an Atlanta Falcon. Bush’s numbers last season as a backup were 42 tackles and 5 breakups. He looks more and more likely to be a candidate to replace Thomas DeCoud, however it is likely Atlanta drafts their future safety in the NFL Draft.
