Woman found dead in rural Indiana whom Jim Irsay tried to help

By now everyone knows about Jim Irsay’s arrest last month on driving under the influence charges. He has since checked himself into rehab to help get his addiction problems under control.

Yet, a few weeks before his arrest a woman was found dead at her home that is owned by the Colt’s real estate company. Kim Wundrum was found dead on March 2, in the home owned a paid for by Colts Blue Trust per Fox59 Indianapolis.

Wundrum became close with Irsay in the late 2000’s and was known to have a significant drug problem. She had been previously arrested in Florida, Ohio, and Indiana on drug related charges.

Her death may be linked to her drug use, but for now the Colts have declined to comment on Wundrum’s death. Although, police report states an orange plate with a white powder, a razor and straw were found.

Even though Irsay was battling his own inner daemons, Wundrums family has stated that Irsay has tried to reach out to her in the past and help her overcome her addiction.

Two weeks before his arrest, Irsay lost a close friend whom he opened his heart and tried to help her.
