The Cincinnati Bengals add Marvin Lewis’ son Marcus to staff

Early Monday, news leaked of another addition to the Cincinnati Bengals’ coaching staff. The franchise has one-up’d themselves, in the loyalty department, by hiring head coach Marvin Lewis’ son to the defensive staff.

Marcus Lewis will occupy a defensive assistant position, as well as the quality control coach. According to Fox 19 news. Lewis is an Indiana State graduate, who played four seasons as a linebacker at the university. From 2008-2011 the Indian Hills H.S. alumni played in 33 collegiate games.

Most recently, in 2013, Marcus Lewis served as an assistant to the University of Cincinnati’s defensive coaching staff. He helped with film breakdowns and self-scouting. Similar to Marcus’ new role with the Cincinnati Bengals organization, the 24 year-old also assisted with the defensive line, scout team, and practice organization.
