Trent Cole's potential replacement to visit with Philadelphia Eagles today

Jordan Tripp Philadelphia Eagles

Per Gil Brandt of, the Philadelphia Eagles will host Montana OLB Jordan Tripp today for a visit:

Tripp is a very intriguing prospect. Although he’s a small-school product, he had a very productive career at Montana and shows a lot of skills that team’s covet in a 3-4 OLB. He’s solid in pass coverage and also finds himself around the ball a lot.

The Eagles will likely be drafting a replacement for Trent Cole at some point in this year’s draft. Cole, 31, had a decent second half of the 2013 season, but isn’t a traditional fit at 3-4 OLB. If the Eagles can add someone who is, their defense gets that much better.

Make sure to read some more in-depth stuff on Tripp here, as Tyler Bolton-Fuhrman broke down the Montana OLB a few weeks ago in his Scouting Notes series.
