The Houston Texans don’t have a ton of cap space left going into the 2014 season, they have done some good work this offseason; Trading Matt Schaub to the Raiders, cutting Danieal Manning and Owen Daniels; those moves freed up cap space, they currently have $12.7 million. With that money they should look at signing free agents to fill the team needs.
They should look to guys that just need a fresh start with a new team. Often times these players have big years with their new teams. The risk is low; most of these guys could be signed for bargain basement prices, so why not take a risk on a player who at one point was worthy starter?
