Colin Kaepernick sounds off on TMZ Sports report

Twenty-four hours after TMZ Sports reported Colin Kaepernick was under investigation for a possible sexual assault, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback took to Twitter on Friday to respond to the report, calling it “completely wrong.”

Citing law enforcement sources, TMZ Sports reported early Thursday that Kaepernick was being investigated for an alleged sexual assault at the Viceroy hotel in Miami.

Hours later, Miami Police officials debunked the report, telling the San Jose Mercury News, “There’s no evidence of a crime or a sexual assault,” and that the celebrity gossip news site “took the report out of context.”

Miami Police said Kaepernick is being investigated for a suspicious incident involving a woman and two other NFL players, 49ers receiver Quinton Patton and Seahawks receiver Ricardo Lockette.

No charges have been filed, and no arrests have been made.
